What to do this Galentine’s & Valentine’s Day

Feeling the love this February? Pencil in a date and celebrate with your favourite people. Whether you chose your BFFs, a loved one or a little me-time, feel the love with a few of our favourite date ideas.

Celebrate with friends…

Nothing says Galentine’s more than a pamper evening. Grab the girls and create a spa in your house. Spoil yourself with face masks, new PJs and a good old chat with your favourite friends. Better still, book a spa day to look forward to and give yourself an excuse to buy some new swimwear

In the mood for something a bit different? Get your game face on with a little competition amongst friends. Book a slot at places like Flight Club, Junk Yard Golf or Bounce Ping Pong for some light-hearted fun and maybe even discover a new skill or two!

What is date night without a lovely meal? Book into your favourite restaurant if you don’t mind crowds. Or if you’re in the mood for something different try a cookery class. Already a dab-hand in the kitchen? Cook up your speciality dish or set the theme and have everyone bring a dish.

There’s something about a cinema trip on Valentine’s Day that’s quintessentially date-night, with some cinemas showing classic rom-coms to get you feeling loved up. But if you don’t fancy being in the midst of other couples, fire up Netflix and bulk buy all your favourite snacks. Save time scrolling, we’ve got some perfect recommendations.

Be your own Valentine…

Embrace the joy of missing out with some well-deserved me-time. Treat yourself by trying out that new hobby. Book yourself onto that class, sign up to that club or just explore something new solo. From learning a new skill at a night school, to simply picking up that book you’ve been wanting to read for ages, experience something new and reap the benefits.

Channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw and indulge in some retail therapy. There’s nothing better than treating yourself (and your wardrobe) to some new pieces, so brush up on your spring/summer trends and hit the shops! If you’re in need of a little inspo, we can help with that…

Or fancy an endorphin boost? Take yourself off for a run, or head to a gym class. Sweating it out is a serious mood-lifter. If you’re not signed up to a gym that offers classes already, check out boutique gyms like Boom Cycle or Frame for a workout that feels like a party.

Indulge in a little art this Valentine’s day and explore a new exhibition, take some time out at a gallery or visit a museum. There’s something to suit every taste, plus a great excuse to catch that exhibition you’ve been meaning to go to. Stepping away from reality and soaking up some culture for a few hours is a great mind-cleanser.
