Fashion blogger and friend of DP Hannah Crosskey shares her festive guide to Christmas in Brighton.
Hannah Crosskey is the queen of making casual pieces ultra chic. Her blog afashionfix.co.uk is filled with the cosiest looks and the cutest layering pieces, and never fails to inspire our wardrobes. We caught up with her in her hometown Brighton to discuss all things festive, from what she’s up to this Christmas to what she’s wearing where.
Q: What makes Brighton a special place to be at Christmas?
A: For me it’s the sentimental feel. I was born in Brighton so it’s so lovely to soak up the Christmassy atmosphere around friends and family.
Q: What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
A: My favourite thing about Christmas in Brighton is when all the family get together -that’s what Christmas is all about!
Q: Where is your favourite place to go in Brighton at this time of year?
A: I have to say I do enjoy sitting on the beach around Christmas, all cosy and wrapped up with a hot chocolate. The ice skating rink and the Pavilion is super Christmassy too!
Q: Where do you do all of your Christmas shopping?
I usually do my Christmas shopping online, you tend to bag the best deals that way!
Q: Who do you celebrate Christmas Day with?
A: I spend Christmas with my family and my partner and his family.
Q: What are you hoping to find under the tree this year?
A: To be honest I already have everything I need. But in case anyone is reading this… I wouldn’t mind a luxury handbag!
Q: What’s your go-to style for Christmas day?
A: Christmas morning is all about being cosy – a Christmas jumper and pyjama bottoms usually cover it until noon! I like to put on a red lip or a nice dress later in the day.
Q: Where would you recommend for a fun day out in Brighton in December?
A: The Pavilion turns into an ice rink at the start of December so head there!
