Buying is a creative and challenging area to work in and is all about developing ranges, sourcing and driving product forward, negotiating cost prices and contributing to the brand product strategy. It entails working closely with Merchandising to plan the season and balance long-term goals with short term trading. Design and Technical Services also play a key role in the Buying process and present information on trends and inspirational shopping trips as well as assuring quality standards.
Buyers focus on developing strong relationships with suppliers and meeting customers needs by anticipating what will be hanging in their wardrobe months ahead and making sure they deliver it to them.
